The Weight Loss Twins 60 Day Challenge

The Weight Loss Twins, Bill and Jim Germanakos were very happy with their stupendous weight reduction victory on the Biggest Loser. And they are also happy to share the systems of their achievement and is why they haver launched the Truth About Diets program and letting us folks know all about the Rapid Action Metabolism system. Well there’s some more. Obviously one of the things that inspired them was to win the Biggest Loser. Now they are giving fans who want to shed weight an additional purpose to get going on their fitness and diet program in the sixty Day Challenge.

The Sixty Day Challenge has some really cool prizes. The first prize is a Caribbean cruise for 2 with The Weight Loss Twins. Runners-up will get an all-expenses paid visit to NY City for a slap-up dinner with The Weight Loss Twins. Contestants will be judged by an elite committee of judges on 4 factors : their complete weight reduction, their percentage body weight reduction, their before and after picture and a 300 word essay which tells their personal success story.

The Weight Loss Twins on The Biggest Loser

It seemed a really good idea for Bill and Jim Germanakos, the Weight Loss Twins, to audition together to go on The Biggest Loser. Although Jim managed to lose 54 lbs in the first 5 weeks, he was unfortunately eliminated from the competition. But that didn’t stop him. He was determined to carry on losing weight when he went home. He enlisted the help and support of his wife who also lost 50lbs. Over the next 6 months, he succeeded in losing 133lbs. When his brother Bill became the series four season winner Jim was awarded the “Winner of Losers” prize. The Biggest Loser was won by The Weight Loss Twins.

After such a feat Bill and Jim have gone on to achieve success world-wide. The Weight Loss Twins have appeared on TV shows like Entertainment Tonight and Larry King Live and have become celebrities and inspirations for a host of weight-loss folk. Some great news is that they will also shortly be able to watch themselves starring as characters in the fantastic Nintendo Wii series. But what’s even more fantastic is that since the Weight Loss Twins won The Biggest Loser they have managed to support each other and still kept off the excess weight

The Weight Loss Twins – Jim’s wake-up call

Like their father, Weight Loss Twins, Jim and Bill Germanakos, had been big guys all their lives. Sadly George died of obesity related illness when his sons were young. When the Weight Loss Twins weighed in for The Biggest Loser they weighed 361lbs and 334lbs respectively. Up to this point, Jim was an active guy, a dedicated fire-fighter and cop, a family man who liked to take part and play with his children. He didn’t see his own weight as a huge problem. Like lots of us, he and his wife, Val, enjoyed their food. In any case as Jim saw it, you come to terms with your obesity when you get to 295lbs. It’s part of your chosen lifestyle

However it’s hard to see it that way when it starts interfering with your family’s happiness. Jim’s sixteen year old son, an enthusiastic eagle scout, was thrilled when he got himself and his father accepted on a once in a lifetime adventure trip. It was then that Jim suddenly saw his weight could be a massive problem. When the coach at the training session realised Jim weighed over 300lbs, he was forced to disqualify father and son from the trip. He told them the helicopters wouldn’t be able to evacuate anyone who weighed over 250lbs. Jim’s son was devastated and cried all the way home. The father he loved had let him down. Fortunately for Jim this was when life jumped up and slapped him in the face. After this “Ahaa moment” he was determined to shed those dreaded pounds so that he would not let his family down again. So the Germamakos brothers auditioned for the show and became known as the Weight Loss Twins

The story of the Weight Loss Twin – Jim Germanakos

The Weight Loss Twins, Bill and Jim Germanakos, learned a lot from their father, George. His mantra was, “The only way to get something done is to get it started.” Unfortunately George died when the boys were young. However you can imagine his delight and pride if he’d lived long enough to see how his boys, Bill and Jim, had heeded his advice and how hard they worked to emerge victorious at the end of series 4 of the hugely popular NBC show, The Biggest Loser. However, although Jim Germanakos has been a massive fan of the series, he didn’t always reckon he needed to get quite so involved. Jim is a Long Island cop and a loving family man. Up to a couple of years ago, when his shifts allowed, he’d sit on the sofa in front of the TV munching away at high-cal comfort snacks like pretzels and potato chips, absorbed by the stories of the shrinking contestants, but not particularly worried about his own 295lb ever growing frame. That was before his life got up and slapped him in the face, before he decide to become a Weight Loss Twin….
